Having seen the comic series, Jacobs admits that it wasn't a 'total surprise' to see some of Invincible's more gruesome and brutal moments come to life on screen.

'This show is dealing with violence and action in a different way,' she said. 'When I was standing in the booth, doing scenes by myself, I did get a disconnect from it, so I think watching the show back will be very different to just doing my parts alone.'
However, one person excited by the show's more explicit handling of fight sequences and death is Beetz.
'I do get annoyed at films where a lot of death is happening and it just brushes it off. ‘Ah they died'. Sometimes it just feels excessive,' she argues.
'The violence in Invincible is what draws you into the storytelling. I like that the show really reckons with it and looks at the layers and complexities of death and violence in ways other shows don't.
'Invincible isn't just a superhero story, it's truly about family, identity, anxieties and those things are really visceral and that is reflected in how that the show handles death. So I don't think I was taken aback by anything, I was more happy.'

Marvel has some wonderful comic characters, but none quite as fascinating as Deadpool. The merc with a mouth had been left out from films for a long time, till Ryan Reynolds portrayed a highly criticized version of Deadpool in the 2009 movie, ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine‘. Finally, in 2016, the first standalone ‘Deadpool' movie came out, and it became a resounding critical and commercial success. The film garnered praise for the action sequences, performances, and the faithfulness to the comics, which includes some fantastic fourth wall breaking. ‘Deadpool' also went on to become the highest-grossing R-rated movie.
Although not an MCU movie, ‘Deadpool' gets the humor just right, balancing it with moments of emotion and action. It also has a number of pop culture references, as is the style of the comics, and had a highly unconventional marketing campaign, which brought it to the notice of many people, and made the film a success.
‘Deadpool' has already had a sequel titled ‘Deadpool 2', which came out in 2018. Thus, if you have not seen the movie, this is the perfect time to watch it; or if you have seen it, you might want to re-watch it. Anyway, before we tell you where you can watch the movie, let us first walk you through the plot of ‘Deadpool'.
What is Deadpool About?
‘Deadpool' tells the story of a special forces operative, Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds), who is dishonorably discharged from service and works as a mercenary. This is when Vanessa (Morena Baccarin) enters his life, and the two become romantically involved. They are engaged when Wade gets diagnosed with terminal cancer. Heartbroken, he leaves Vanessa without a warning so she does not have to go through the pain of watching him die.
However, it seems as though Wade is in luck because he is approached by a mysterious figure who offers an experimental cure for cancer. Upon accepting, Wade is taken to Ajax (Ed Skrein) and Angel Dust (Gina Carano). They inject him with a serum that is supposed to awaken the latent mutant genes. Subsequently, Wade is subjected to days of torture and other pressure-inducing situations, hoping that the mutant gene might get triggered. But there is no success. Things become worse when Wade makes fun of Ajax upon discovering that his real name is Francis. As a result, Ajax leaves him in a chamber over the weekend that periodically takes him to the verge of asphyxiation. This finally triggers a superhuman healing ability in Wade but leaves him with scars all over his body. Cured of his cancer, but severely disfigured, Wade escapes the chamber and is about to kill Ajax, but is told that the disfigurement can be rectified. He relents, only to have Ajax subdue him and leave him in a now burning lab.
Somehow he survives and seeks out Vanessa. However, he is afraid to approach her, since he left without saying anything and is unsure how she will react to his current appearance. He also moves in with a blind woman, and with some help from his friend, he decides to track down Ajax. Before this, Wade becomes a masked vigilante calling himself Deadpool, because his friend had picked him in a dead pool (a pool predicting which person will die first). Deadpool goes on a killing spree as he eliminates all of Ajax's men, and we have some wonderful action sequences on our hands. Finally, the person who first approached him gives away Ajax's whereabouts. Deadpool attacks Ajax's convoy and is almost successful when he is interrupted by Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead. The two X-Men members try to get Deadpool to walk a more righteous path and join them. Ajax uses this distraction to escape and realizes who Deadpool is and his link to Vanessa.
Like a cliched bad guy, Ajax goes after the girl and takes her to a decommissioned helicarrier in a scrapyard. Deadpool enlists the help of Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead. The battle heats up as the X-Men members handle Ajax's men and Angel Dust, while Deadpool goes for Ajax. They fight and the latter is subdued, but Negasonic destroys the equipment stabilizing the helicarrier by mistake. Deadpool protects Vanessa from the resultant crash, as Colossus carries Negasonic and Angel Dust to safety. Ajax attacks again, but Deadpool gains the upper hand, and on discovering there is no cure for his deformities, he kills Ajax despite Colossus' intervention. The movie ends with our merc promising to be more heroic hereon, and reconciling with Vanessa. At the very end, there is a wonderful homage to ‘Ferris Bueller's Day Off‘ in the post-credit scene.
Now that you know what the movie is about, let us tell you where you can watch ‘Deadpool'.
